This Memorial Day we will gather at the Honoring Our Fallen Memorial wall, located at Rosie The Riveter Park, in the City of Long Beach, to conduct a reading of the names.
We invite the community to come out and join us. Bring a lawn chair and spend the morning with us or maybe a picnic and spend the day. We will have special paper and charcoal pencils for name rubbings that family and friends can make of their loved one or friends name and take with them.
Timeline:
5:30am – We will start the day as the sun has just risen with a special bagpiper tribute.
5:45am – Active-duty military, police, first responders, and veterans, will assist with the reading of the names. Each representative will take turns reading the list of all names of our fallen in order of death as inscribed on the wall
